Ellie's Story

On November 1, 2022, a tumor was found on Ellie's Adrenal Gland. She was diagnosed with Stage 4, High-Risk Neuroblastoma and was immediately admitted to the hospital. The cancer had spread and was covering 80% of her body. She was 3 years old.

For the next 15 months, Ellie suffered through many rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. She had several surgeries and a stem cell transplant, which resulted in complications and a 4-day stay in the ICU.

In January 2024, she was officially declared in remission. She is currently taking the recently FDA-approved IWILFIN to help reduce the risk of relapse. She will continue taking it for 2 years. She also now wears hearing aids, as the intense chemotherapy caused hearing loss.

As Ellie says, "I threw that cancer in the trash can."
