Liam's Story
Liam was diagnosed with MDS with monosomy 7 and GATA 2 on July 13, 2021. The only treatment for this rare cancer was a bane marrow transplant. He received the transplant October 13, 2021.
He has battled lots of illness and issues over the last 3 years as side effects of the transplant. He got GVHD 3 times and the last time is was very bad. There is no real cure for MDS. He will be considered cancer free but monitored for the rest of his life very closely to make sure it has not come back. And due to the GATA2 leukemia is always something that could happen so we have to watch for that as well.
By making a donation, you are directly supporting childhood cancer research through the Rally Foundation.
Your donation will contribute to the ongoing efforts to develop better treatments with fewer long-term side effects, and ultimately, find cures for young patients like Liam. Stand with us in this critical cause and help bring hope to children and families battling cancer.
