Sarah's Story

Before the sun came up on New Years Day, 2022, Sarah woke up with a sore throat and nausea. It was her oldest sister's wedding day so we had to go to the church and continue our plans. By evening, after the wedding, she was in bed with a 102 fever and we used our teledoc service to get seen virtually and started treatment for strep throat.

Over the next twelve days, Sarah continued to decline until we ended up in Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital with a diagnosis of blood cancer. Sarah completed 881 days of chemotherapy and had her port removed in June of 2024.

We are so thankful to all who have gone before us to pave the way for successful treatments and we will never stop fighting for more research for the children and families who will be in our shoes now and in the future.

By making a donation, you are directly supporting childhood cancer research through the Rally Foundation.

Your donation will contribute to the ongoing efforts to develop better treatments with fewer long-term side effects, and ultimately, find cures for young patients like Sarah. Stand with us in this critical cause and help bring hope to children and families battling cancer.
