Rally Kid Lizzie's Story
After having been born with a congenital heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot, and having open heart surgery at 4 months old, Lizzie was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma at 18 months old. She went through 14 rounds of chemo (including a total of several months inpatient) and a tumor-resection surgery. She struggled with constant low platelets and sickness throughout chemo, but generally loved being at the hospital and playing with toys and eating all the snacks. She is now 1.5 years in remission and a happy 4 year old!
