Rally Kid Noah's Story
Noah Royal was only 4 months old when he was diagnosed with leukemia. As a first time mother, this came as a shock because how could he have such an aggressive disease when he’s only been on this earth for so long. It was not fair. The day I signed the consent for chemotherapy was probably the hardest day of our journey so far. Noah has been through more lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirations and biopsies, blood and platelet transfusions than any baby I know. He is still in active treatment with high intense chemotherapy impacting his daily life. On the bright side, his chemotherapy has been working in his favor as the level of leukemia cells in his blood have decreased drastically. Luckily, he is so strong and has been fighting like a champ since day 1. I’m amazed at how he is able to smile and laugh through it all. He is being treated at Arthur M Blank hospital to this day and I am just praying for the day he is able to come out of these treatments and visits triumphantly. Foundations such as Rally have been such a huge help for Noah, his dad and I as we navigate through this childhood cancer journey together.
