Rally Kid Ollie's Story
Oliver “Ollie” was diagnosed with Stage 4, nonresectable prostate Rhabdomyosarcoma on March 16, 2018, at just 15 months old. What began as painful urination led to the discovery of a large tumor stemming from his prostate and pressing on his bladder and urethra, causing intense discomfort.
Ollie endured nearly two years of chemotherapy—including a clinical trial drug—radiation therapy, countless hospital stays, and long periods of intense pain managed with morphine and methadone. He had a feeding tube early on and required a urinary catheter for much of his treatment, which he still uses today.
Despite setbacks, including tumor swelling after radiation, the cancer responded to treatment and Ollie was declared in remission in March 2020. Though he continues to face challenges like bladder spasms, Ollie is thriving. In 2024, he attended public school for the first time, where he made friends and found joy in the routine of a more typical childhood. His resilience continues to inspire everyone around him.
