Rally Kid Bria's Story

Bria was born a perfectly healthy, full-term infant. Right after she turned two months old, she developed spots on her skin that looked like purple mosquito bites. After seeing her pediatrician and undergoing a skin biopsy and blood work, we were referred to CHOA Aflac center. Bria underwent a bone marrow biopsy and repeat skin biopsy and was officially diagnosed with AML leukemia on July 20th, 2016 at just 3 months old. She completed four rounds of chemo and spent 99 days inpatient. She also had many bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, blood work, and clinic visits. She was declared in remission in August 2016 and officially off treatment December 2016. She is now a thriving 9 year old and will be 9 years in remission in August. She loves playing softball, basketball, gymnastics, and is starting volleyball this Fall. She loves Jesus and singing praise and worship songs. She is such a wonderful light and we are so thankful for the gift of her life and for the nurses and doctors at CHOA for saving our little girl.
