Rally Kid Austen's Story
Austen was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma weeks before her 5th birthday. She had a total hysterectomy to remove the tumor and surrounding cancerous tissue. She then underwent 6 months of weekly chemotherapy to ensure all cancerous cells were destroyed. Thankfully, she has been cancer-free since May 2018, a date we gratefully celebrate each year. Now at age 12 (almost 13!) she is healthy and thriving. She loves doing competition cheer and spending time with her friends. We are so thankful for the support she received as a Rally Kid and we continue to do work to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research! Your donation will contribute to the ongoing efforts to develop better treatments with fewer long-term side effects, and ultimately, find cures for young patients like Austen.
