It has been almost 10 years since Parker passed away from Neuroblastoma. A decade later, the disbelief still lingers. There will never be acceptance of the fact that Parker was robbed of his childhood and his family was robbed of their son. That loss does not soften with time. While treatment advances have been made since Parker’s battle in 2006–2007, and survival rates have improved, it is still not enough. No family should hear that diagnosis. No child should endure what Parker endured. Progress matters—but until there are better treatments and higher survival rates, the fight must continue. Every day, Parker is missed beyond words. His family has wished, prayed, and dreamed of having him back, while carrying the painful reality that they cannot. In place of that longing, they have chosen advocacy. They fight for Parker and for every child currently battling who may not yet have a voice. Childhood cancer remains underfunded and underrepresented, and that lack of awareness directly impacts research and outcomes. In honor of Parker’s life—and his unforgettable, ear-to-ear dimpled smile—his family asks for continued support.
