Rally Kid Ansley's Story
Ansley was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in May 2026. Ansley had been having nose bleeds on and off for a few weeks along with pale skin, and dark circles under her eyes. On May 11, 2026 we decided to take her to the pediatrician to get checked out thinking it was likely a result of a toddler’s picky eating. Our pediatrician, Dr. Williams with PAMPA Pediatrics, performed a finger prick which showed signs of slight anemia. Dr. Williams ordered a more thorough blood draw that was done at CHOA Urgent Care that same day. We received a phone call on May 12th from Dr. Williams telling us to go to AMBH for admission as Ansley’s lab work was “emergent.” We received Ansley’s diagnosis that night. Leukemia. Ansley has B Cell standard risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and will undergo multiple rounds of treatment, lumbar punctures, and medications.
