Rally Kid Phoebe's Story
Phoebe was diagnosed at age 13 with T-Cell ALL on 3/21/24. An E.R. trip after 2 weeks of “just not feeling well”, and what we thought would be a dose of antibiotics turned into a cancer diagnosis and 13 minutes to board a helicopter. We spent 3 months at Shands in Gainesville filled with daily chemo, infections, multiple PICU stays, several radiology scans, an emergency surgery where we almost lost her, and daily unimaginable stress. After 3 months we were able to transfer back home to Sacred Heart in Pensacola and continue with chemo, lumbar punctures, labs, radiology, infections, long hospital stays, and continued stress. As of today, Phoebe is back to attending regular school in 10th grade, and is getting her strength back every day. Her journey has led her to want to become a Child Life Specialist when she graduates so she can ease the pain and stress of fellow warriors along their journey. Phoebe rang the bell August 31, 2026!
