Rally Kid Noah's Story
In June 2018, at just three and a half years old, Noah began experiencing severe leg pain, stomach pain, labored breathing, and unexplained fevers. After weeks of searching for answers, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on July 25, 2018. Noah's treatment was incredibly difficult. He was classified as high-risk and faced numerous life-threatening complications, including severe infections, neuropathy that left him unable to walk for months, a feeding tube, multiple hospitalizations, and time in the PICU. After 830 days of treatment, Noah became a childhood cancer survivor on November 1, 2020. Less than a year later, Noah relapsed. He enrolled in a clinical trial and endured two more years of treatment, once again overcoming significant complications. Through remarkable strength and determination, Noah beat leukemia for a second time. Today, Noah is thriving. He has graduated from physical and occupational therapy, continues routine monitoring with blood work every three months and monthly IV immunoglobulin infusions, and enjoys life as a two-time childhood cancer survivor. His family is also grateful to know that his older brother, Maddox, is a perfect bone marrow match should Noah ever need a transplant in the future. Noah's journey is a powerful reminder of the importance of childhood cancer research. Because of advances in research, Noah has been given the chance to beat leukemia twice and continue living a life full of hope.
