Rally Kid Brooks' Story

We are Tanner and Laura Laney, the parents of Brooks Laney and his little sisters, Josie and Jessie Laney. Brooks passed away on Feb. 26, 2025 of Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma(DIPG). Brooks had just turned 5 in December and was diagnosed on New Years Eve, after showing very minor signs of his balance being a little off. Not even 2 months was all the time we had with our child after diagnosis and we always thought there would be much more time. Brooks never even got the chance to fight for more time because the tumor grew so rapidly that treatment was no longer an option. Even with treatment, we were told that he wouldn’t survive but we had hope that it was give us more time until there was a cure. I know so many families go through this devastating heartache and we’re not the only ones. Even though we didn’t get the miracle we, and so many people around the world prayed for for our Brooks, we are putting our trust in God and He has truly shown us that He has carried us and is continuing to carry us through this.
