Rally Kid Liam Story
On January 16, 2020, Liam was diagnosed with high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia after months of being misdiagnosed. He did not go into remission after his first round of chemotherapy, making his treatment even more intensive. Over the following months, Liam endured countless treatments and complications, including severe neuropathy and drop foot, a blood clot on his heart requiring blood thinners, osteopenia that led to a fractured foot, and a more than two-month hospitalization for a severe fungal infection and double pneumonia. After relapsing and failing to reach remission, Liam traveled to Nashville for a bone marrow transplant. Following the transplant, he faced additional challenges, including GVHD, kidney and cardiac complications, infections, and severe skin issues. Through every setback, Liam continues to fight with incredible strength and resilience, enduring a childhood no child should ever have to experience.
